Helping out 12/3/2001
YESTERDAY(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) I went to church. Bro. Jim and Sis. Judy are moving here from our California church, and I agreed to help them move into their new house. I rode home with Nick to his house after church and watched him and his brother, Cory, play Rainbow Six. I didn't want to play. Then we went upstairs and I tried to get his CD-ROM working, since it's been broken for a while. I took off the computer case (obviously it had never been taken off) and there was dust city in there! Basically I switched around the hard drive and CD-ROM cables, and then we had to download the drivers again, but my mom came and said it's time to help move. We went to Bro. Jim and Sis. Judy's new house and there were 2 of the largest Penske moving trucks, both filled all the way up. It was cold, and it was around 5pm. You wouldn't believe how many huge, oak things they have! My dad, Bro. Jim, and I helped carry them into the garage and then we would hand the large things to Nick and Bro. Steve (Nick's uncle and Bro. Jim's stepson-in-law) and the lighter things we would give to my mom, and Sis. Heather (Bro. Jim's stedaughter) because they had clean shoes on from staying inside. A lot of it was really heavy and we got a pizza break. (2 kinds: Pepporoni and mushroom, and pepperoni, mushroom, olives, onions, peppers, and other gross stuff) I picked the lesser of the gross, and took the mushrooms off. (less to take off) :) I only had one slice and it was back to work. After a while Nick's mom came to take him home because every Sunday his divorced parents have to change which one of them live in the house until the next Sunday, and it was time for Nick's dad to have it. My brother, Matt came and helped, and we were there until 11:30!!! But their new house didn't have room for this really cool and big couch, so they gave it to us and we had to move the chair and couch out of our front room to put the new couch in. I went to bed thinking that a massage would feel really good, but alas, the person I wanted a massage from lives in Texas. Oh well.

Oh, one more thing! This morning Catie came in my room when I was in bed and told me that we had a new couch. I said, "Duh, I helped move it!"
