My 1/12/2002
Today was pretty much boring up until my movie date with someone I met online who happens to live nearby. Her name is Allison. We had plans to go see a movie to meet each other for 2 weeks now. She talked to me and said we should meet sometime. I suggested a movie (Lord of the Rings) and she said that sounds good. I first met Melissa online and then introduced Nick to her. We had plans to meet sometime, but they didn't work out and later Nick went and met her in real life. Then I went to a football game from Nick's school and I met her there, but this was Nick's second time seeing her. Allison is Melissa's friend and talked to Nick online. I didn't know her. I found out that Nick was going to a movie with Mel and Ali, but Ali didn't want me to come because I dress "wack". She had never seen me though. Mel later asked if I wanted to go and I told her that Ali doesn't want me to because of my style of dress. Well, she told Ali and then Ali felt bad. She said she doesn't know why she said that. I met Ali online and we talk also.

Anyway, a few weeks later I heard that they went to the movies as planned but didn't tell me anything about when or where. So now Nick saw Mel 3 times and met Ali once. After a few more weeks, Ali said she went to the movies with Nick again. So does it matter at all that I'm the one who first started it by meeting Mel online? Back to our plans. Ali wanted to meet me and told me that Nick likes Mel. So Ali wanted to bring Nick and Mel along also. Well, I told her that any time is fine with me, and she said that Friday would be best.

Nick said he can't go because he has a game, and on Thursday Ali said she fell off her horse and she was sore. We rescheduled for Sunday. When Sunday came, I couldn't get a hold of anyone until it was too late to go. And Ali was scared of meeting me because I'm 19 and she didn't want to meet me alone. We rescheduled for Friday (today).

She called me today and said that Mel can't go so she will be bringing a few friends because she doesn't want to meet me alone. She said I could bring Nick. She asked if it would be okay if we saw Orange County instead of Lord of the Rings, because she really wants to see that. I said sure as my heart sank. I'm fine with seeing a different one, I just was planning on seeing the best one. She told me I would like her friends. If I only knew. Well, I had to ride the bus to the mall and I met her there. I brought along The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers to read on the bus ride. One of the guys couldn't come, so it was just Ali, her 2 friends (both girls), and I. We went to pay for our tickets and found that Orange County was sold out. Ali said maybe we should see Lord of the Rings (obviously because I wanted to. I knew she didn't want to) but her friends said they don't want to because they heard how long it was. We got tickets for Imposter.

We talked with the concession guy and I asked him if he thought The Lord of the Rings was too long. He said he heard from a lot of people that it's too short. Well, the 3 girls were discussing which movie we should actually see, and they decided we would go with Imposter. Sure, whatever. Obviously I'm not a part of this, I only set up the plans for the movies.

We saw the movie and I liked it, but Ali said the camera moved too much and she felt a little sick. Her 2 friends talked the whole time during the previews, and a little during the beginning of the movie. They said that a store they wanted to go to would be closed when the movie ended and they said that if the movie's not really good then we'll just leave and go to the store. If that were to happen, I would stay there in the movie and I would hope that Ali would stay there with me and let her friends go. But I'm not sure if she would. They saw a bunch of people from their school in the mall and I guess they are a lot more interesting than me. Ali talked to me some, but the other girls didn't. They also cussed some of the time. And they giggled about everything. One of the basketball players from a college in town came in and Ali shook his hand and let us all know about it a few times. Then she had to go but wouldn't let me come outside with them. She made me stay in the mall because her dad was picking her up and she didn't want him to see her with me. I think she left out the part about meeting me, a 19 year-old, when she was telling her dad where she was going. She is almost 16. So I just stayed there in the mall and watched them go and she said she would call. I certainly hope she does. I still want to see her some more, but not with any friends next time. I requested that she come alone the first time because I figured something like his might happen, but she didn't want to. Oh well, I enjoyed the movie and just being with her at least. I'm glad for that.
