Distant music at night 1/19/2002
Lately, when I get off the computer at night to go to bed, I hear music. It's when everyone else is asleep and it's around 2 or later in the morning. Don't think it's because I'm tired and just hearing things, because most of the time I'm not really that tired. Our house has 3 rooms in front and 3 rooms in back, all beside each other. The den is one of the back rooms. I turn off the computer and leave the den into the kitchen which is a front room, right in front of the den. I walk through the kitchen into the dining room, which has the front door in it and the stairs. The front room is right by the dining room and right next the front door. I walk past the stairs and front door into the front room to sit on the couch before I go to bed. I often think about what I had just talked about, or about Kelli of course. That's when I hear music. It sounds like there is a radio on, maybe upstairs. It sounds like it's coming from the stairs anyway. It's really faint though. Last time I heard it, it sounded like country music. Sometimes I can't tell if I hear it in my head, or I really hear it with my ears. Then others I'm sure I really hear it. I get up and go up the stairs, still hearing it. We have a fan at the top of the stairs which my parents put on every night for white noise I guess. Only the boys' and girls' room is upstairs. The fan is between them. I hear it less when I'm upstairs, but I still hear it. In my room it sounds like it's coming from the girls' room, and when I go into their room it sounds like it's coming from mine. I told my sister, Andrea, this and she said that she sometimes listens to music in her room with her headphones on, and you can hear it. But when I go in there she's in bed. Besides, it happened last night, but not like radio music. Last night I was in the front room and the little clock did it's little song that it does every hour. It's batteries are low so it sounds like it's drunk, lol. Anyway, after it finished the song, I still heard some tunes from it, like it was dragging it out, or since it's batteries are low it plays some random notes still. Like when you hit a bell, you still hear some ringing even after the main ring has died away. I went up to it really close and listened. Nothing. I listened for about 30 seconds and nothing. I went back to the couch and heard it. I couldn't make out what tune, but I could still hear something from it. I went into the bathroom, which is a back room, and shut the door and still heard the clock, still sounding just as far away. It didn't get any lower the farther I went. I was thinking that maybe the constant noise of the fan makes it sound like some music or something is playing. Maybe the sound waves bouncing off the walls, because there is a little fan outside the bathroom to make white noise for my parents in the next room. I also hear it when I go to bed, but I soon don't notice it from paying attention to the imaginary Kelli there, lol. Sorry I talk about Kelli so much, I bet it gets annoying, especially for her.
