Today I was in bed and my sister, Catie, came
upstairs and handed me the phone telling me it was Tammy, the
manager at Arby's where I work. This is our conversation from what I
can remember:
Me: Hello.
Her: Hi Jason. This is Tammy.
Me: Hi.
Her: Jason, I'm going to have to let you go. Our sales are
down...again, and we aren't making enough money.
Me: Yeah.
Her: You have been a great employee and I hate how I only give
you 6-12 hours a week. It's not worth your time to come for that
little. I already let 3 others go this week
Me: Okay.
Her: I would be happy to write a letter of recommendation for you
for your next job. You can come in and get your paycheck today.
Me: Alright.
Her: I hope you get a good job. Good luck!
Me: Thanks, it's been nice working with you.
Her: Thank you, sir.
I will now repeat the title of this entry: Darn economy. I told
my mom that I was laid off and she said that Tabatha, Andrea's best
friend, was laid off too from a job she had for a year and a half.
Anyway, my mom wanted me to go and clean up some branches and stuff from the high winds earlier, but I had to go to college. She said to get the first bus home so I would have time before it gets dark. I will now explain the bus schedule so you understand. My class ends at 3:50 but she usually lets us out around 3:30. Today she let us out at 3:50, however. The only 2 buses that would take me from the Eugene station directly to my house leave the station at 4:23 and 5:23. To arrive at the Eugene station closest to those times, I either need to catch the 3:57 bus, or the 4:57 bus from the college. My mom wanted me to take the earlier one. Usually it would get me to the Eugene station 7 minutes before the bus that goes in front of my house leaves. Today it was late, and it came at 4:02 instead of 3:57. It got me to the Eugene station at 4:25 which is 2 minutes after the first bus leaves, so I had to wait an hour there until the other one came. At least I got to read my book there.
When I got home, around 6, Andrea was on the internet and was still on it until 9:30 I think. I finally got her off it, but my beloved Kelli was not on then, considering it is 2 hours later where she lives. I want to talk to her. I want to know what she is thinking, what she is feeling. WHAT ARE YOU FEELING, KELLI? Lol, like she'll really answer that. Not in a note at least.
