| Okay, if you have read some of my diary, then you
have most likely heard of Josh. He's a stockman just like me, only
he's not just like me. First of all (and I'm not blaming him for
this) he can't use his right arm hardly at all.
He can move it, but there's like no strength in it. I heard it's
something in his brain, and it won't heal. He's pretty strong for
using only one arm for pushing carts though! He's Swedish I guess,
or someone of that type, he has an accent. The thing I don't like is
he's annoying! If you think I'M annoying, then you better not have
to work with him. First of all, he's pushy and bossy. He tells me to
do the carts all the time, even when they look pretty good.
Meanwhile, he stays inside and waits for customers to need help with
a heavy item. And he's not allowed to help customers carry things
out because of his disability! Yesterday, I came into work and about
15 minutes later, he comes and tells me to go outside and get a
swingset for someone. I ask him which one and he says it's blue.
Great. I go outside and find 2 Latino guys who have been waiting
there for 10 minutes, and for some reason Josh didn't tell me about
it sooner. Josh said he will be right out. Can you guess what he's
doing? He standing in line with a person on an electric cart, who is
about 3rd in line, and waiting for them to go through the checkout
counter and ride out to their car so he can bring it inside! So he
finally comes out and asks me if I got it yet. "Um, no Josh. I can't
get it myself." He looks annoyed at that, as always, and he goes
over to the trailers where the boxed ones are. We need a key to open
them, so he talks on the walkie-talkie to Wyatt. I hear Wyatt say,
"What about a swingset, Josh?" and he sounds like he's annoyed or
talking to a child. "Um, we need the key for um... in Garden... in
Garden... the um... the trailer." Wyatt says, "Someone in Garden
should have the key, Josh. But I'll be out in a few minutes anyway."
So Josh goes inside, and after a while Assistant Manager Wyatt comes
out and unlocks the trailer, and we can't find which one it is.
Finally we find it and try to fit it in their trunk, and Wyatt tells
me to go see if Garden has some twine (the trailers are right
outside Garden). I go inside and see Josh and he asks me if I got the
swingset. I tell him I need some twine. He is annoyed by that, but
he goes and finds some. It's all wound up and he's making a mess
trying to untangle it, then Wyatt comes and tells me never mind, so I
tell Josh that Wyatt said to never mind. He gets annoyed at that and
I say, "Hey, Wyatt told me that." He's taller than I am, and he
thinks that means authority or something. I guess most of the people greeters don't like him. He gets in
your face when he talks to you, though sometimes I think he's not
meaning it in a mean way, it's just how he talks. But don't you
disagree with him! He'll keep insisting he's right. He's really
impatient too. And everything has to be done his way. One
time it was time for my lunch, but I told the people greeter I'm
just going to fill the carts up so I can go on my lunch. He said,
"Oh, well see, Josh would go on his lunch anyway even if the carts
were empty." And he never tells anyone when he's going on
break/lunch either. Okay, I guess I've complained enough about him,
lol. On to other things... |
