Well, I finally, after many setbacks, got my computer
operating again, though I don't have all my programs installed yet,
nor any of my settings like my background picture, or sounds, or
anything like that, but I did set up my internet connection so I
could type this, lol. That's why I'm back, but only as in TOD. Not
AIM or anything else, because I only have my browser set up right
now. Anyway, here's a summary of what's been going on:
It turns out that the thing messing my computer up wasn't
anything with the computer at all. It was our power. That's right,
the power to our house. It fluctuated, and the surge protector only
protects against sudden increases of power, not decreases. Any
slight decrease in power can lock up your computer, and I guess our
circuit breakers got old and were like going out for some time,
though we have only just recently started experiencing the symptoms.
An electrician came out and supposedly fixed it. The lights haven't
been flickering anymore, so I guess it worked.
After my first visit to Carly's, I went over there again a
different day. She had to run some errands so we went and did them.
On the way we got to talking about food (we always manage to start
talking about some random subject that has nothing to do with what
we talked about any other day). She asked if I had ever had a Peanut
Butter Pie. I said I hadn't, and she said that she'll have to take
me to Shari's someday, and I suggested we go right now, since we were
both hungry, so we did. I got calamary (haha Kelli) and she didn't
like me getting it since she's a vegetarian, but told me that Sonny
ALWAYS gets that whenever they go there. I got lasagna and she got
some waffles. Then we ordered the pie to go. It was good, but not as
much flavor as I hoped for. At her house I saw Office Space
which is a very funny movie. She has Monty Python and the Holy
Grail, too. I paused it and got one of her pillows off her bed
and laid against it on the couch. Then I didn't feel like laying
down so I gave it to her, which she put on my shoulder and laid
against it. Later she did the same on my lap.
2 days ago, both she and I were off work, and it was payday, and
you can only get your check on a payday or wait until the next one
and get both, so she took me there since we both had to get ours.
Nick wanted to know if she would be willing to take us to
Wunderland. It's an arcade and all the games take nickles instead of
quarters. They have a new DDR there, and Carly said maybe she would.
After all the errands she had to run, and we got back to her house,
she was tired and didn't feel like going back into town. She and I
laid on her bed a little and got into a conversation about drugs,
lol. She explained what being high on pot was like. She had done
acid once, and did mushrooms several times before. Never crack,
though. She said pot should be legal, since it's not nearly as bad
as tobacco, and it doesn't make you all mad and a short temper like
alcohol does. It just makes you calm, peaceful, and lazy, lol. She
doesn't do any drugs now, though she may drink at a party. I
accidentally rubbed my foot against hers and she accused me of
playing footsies. Then we discussed what the actual meaning of
footsies was and what exactly did it mean. She said it means you
like the person, but we changed it to mean whatever the person wants
it to mean. A little later she rolled over and put her head against
my chest. Now, most everyone would agree that she likes me "that way",
but I'm not sure. I don't really like her in that way, but I
certainly like her a whole lot as friends, and maybe I do like her
that way a tiny bit, I'm not too sure. But from what she says, she's
like this with all her friends. I don't really care anyway, she's
just really nice company. We watched The 5th Element because
I had never seen it, and then I showed her Chrono Trigger and put it
on her computer. She likes it a lot.
Anyway, that's what's up in case you were wondering.
Oh, and I heard that last night Greg was having problems at home
and he cussed at work I think, and Josh told me he quit, but Jarrod
said he didn't, and he'll find out if he still works at Wal-Mart
today. Oh well.
