Well, I went in to work at 4, but got there early so
I went straight to the break room. Josh came in and handed me the
remote control to the cart pusher and said I would need it tonight.
Okay, first let me tell you why I don't like using it.
1. It's way more hassle than it's worth unless you need to get a
lot of carts in one trip. And the only reason you would need to do
that is if you were sitting back and letting the parking lot get
littered with enough carts to go and get some more. That's not a
very good way to be a stockman.
2. It's better exercise pushing them by hand.
So anyway, he told me I would need the remote tonight, obviously
because there were a lot of carts on the lot, meaning he hasn't been
doing his job very well. I said, "Okay, I'll take it but I won't use
it." He started to say something but stuttered, and then made a loud
noise indicating he was annoyed (as always) and walked out of the
break room.
Well, his shift ended when mine began, so he left, leaving the
carts half full (which is usual for him, go on break or lunch when
it's time to with no compromises for the condition of the carts).
The parking lot had more carts on it than I had seen it in a long
time, and half of them were in actual parking spaces. I decided to
give him the benefit of the doubt that it could have been really
busy and he was unable to keep the carts full no matter how hard he
tried. I proved that theory wrong when I easily filled the carts,
and the people greeter told me that he would come by when he was
working and the carts would be half full and he would say they are
fine. Even if they were fine, he still had to deal with the
scattered carts on the parking lot. I spent the better part of my
shift cleaning up the lot after his shift, so I was behind when it
came time for me to clock out, so I stayed a half an hour later to
finish.
Besides carts, at lunch I talked to Tracy awhile about her
fiance whom she met online, and he lives in Michigan. They have been
talking for almost 2 years and he has visited her a couple times. I
just think... wow. I just hope it works out. We have plans to see
"The Lord of the Rings" since she hasn't seen it and we want to
start hanging out. (she used to hang out with Greg) I have plans to
go see that same movie with Carly on Tuesday, though she's seen it 5
times, lol. She planned it though. She won't let me come over with
her parents there because she doesn't like anyone meeting her
parents, and they will supposedly be gone on Tuesday. They are truck
drivers.
Rebekah was doing a massive cleaning job in the Radio Grill today
and I helped her out with what I could, though I had my stockman duties,
too. I helped her a little during my lunch. I just wish I could have
helped her the whole time. She was working so hard, because the
manager in there always complains how messy and dirty things are in
there.
Oh, one more thing: When it was my scheduled time to leave, my
dad came by to get me, and saw I still had a fair amount of carts to
organize (thanks to Josh), he came and helped me gather them up!
Well, that's it. I wish either Kelli or Becky was on so I could talk
to them. Carly too. Oh yeah, I've been working a little more on my
RPG, though I'm a little stumped at the part of the storyline I'm
at. Oh well, I'll think of it. Later!
