Well, it was the company picnic today. I didn't have
a ride, so Tracy took me, since she was going to it, too. It was from
11 to 4, but I had to work at 3 so I would have to leave early. We
got there and it was pretty boring. I ate a hotdog and some chips,
and a grape soda (yummy!) Tracy and I went looking for swings and
then we swung on them of course, and then we saw more activity among
the people at the picnic and figured something was going on. We went
back and they were starting the tricycle races. After a few races,
they got me to go. My legs are too long, lol. I beat whoever it was
I was against. Then a girl and 2 guys, who were relatives of
Wal-Mart associated, headed to the sand volleyball court, so I joined
them. The court was kinda big and it was only 2 on 2 so we just hit
it back and forth. Then I got called back to the tricycle races,
because I was supposedly a semi-finalist for winning my last race.
Great. I went against Asst. Manager Wyatt and won. Then I went
against this lady and she beat me, but her son beat her afterward.
Then I had to leave for work and Tracy took me.
At work people asked if I went to the picnic and then complained
how they had to work during it. Oh, too bad for them, they sure
missed a lot. Probably the swings and food was the best part. Tammy
is 30, and we talk a lot. She works in Layaway. She recently split
up with her husband and said they aren't getting back together. When
she was waiting for her ride outside, she didn't look so good. I
told her so and she said she's just a little sad. I asked why. She
said she doesn't know (of course she does). I asked if it was
because of what's been going on, and she said, "Yeah, I'm a wuss."
Well, it would be expected to feel sad if you're breaking up a
marriage, no matter how much you hate him at the time. You loved him
at one time. I'm like, "You're not a wuss. Heck, if you're a wuss
for that, then I'm a bigger wuss." She said, "Well, we already knew
YOU were one," and she laughed and said she was kidding. I went to
do carts and found this toy that was just a ball of fuzz with those
eyes that roll around on it, and I gave it to her and said, "Don't
be sad, because you have a new friend." She liked that.
Rebekah is moving from wherever she lives, and Carly is going to
help her move before she goes and sees "Reign of Fire" with me on
Tuesday. Lol, it was funny how the plans to see the movie came
about. Both Carly and I discovered we had Tuesday off, and she said
she wants to see "Reign of Fire" and I said I wanted to, also. Then
she looked at me and said, "Wait, is this a proposal for us to go
see it together?" with an I-can-read-between-the-lines kinda voice. I
said sarcastically, "Nope, I'm just stating facts. Pointing out the
obvious." Later, she was talking to both Andrew and me and saying she
was seeing te movie on Tuesday, and I asked if she was seeing it all
alone. She hit me on the shoulder and said, "No, with you, Doofus."
I offered to help Rebekah move and she said she could really use
it. Carly said she wanted to do something with me before we see the
movie, so tomorrow we'll do something. She said she wants to feed
the ducks in this park, and I'm like, "Not all day, right?" She said
no, lol. |
