Our church got a notice from the Grange people (they
let us use the Grange for us to have church at) that they are
changing the agreement that enables us to use their building every
Sunday. The agreement was that we didn't need to clean it anymore,
but we had to let other people use the room next to the room we have
church in (we use that room for when a little kid is making noise).
Plus the Grange people would change the interior of the Grange. They
would put church benches in it, and everything to make it look just
like a normal church instead of a meeting hall. We agreed to it.
When church came around, I remember going past the room we were
letting other people use (we called it the "crying room"). They were
having church of their own with folding chairs for seats. I walked
into the main room and it was much bigger. It had carpet, benches,
and a nicely designed front area for the minister to stand. There
were also many more people sitting whom I didn't know. There was a
man standing behind the podium whom I didn't know, also. He had a
schedule for how the church session would go, which listed the
prayers that were going to be said and by whom, which sermon would
be said and by whom, and everything else. Bro. Steve wasn't on it.
The schedule was followed, but something was wrong. We got a whole
other church that came with the remodeling, and they took over. Bro.
Steve is the elder of our church, and he only stands at the front
when he's giving his sermon, and he doesn't plan it out, either. But
it's like our church was taken from us and under new leadership
other than God. In the next meeting, Bro. Steve got to give his
talk, and some people seemed to be amazed by it, while others looked
bored, and a few people talked to each other and ignored him. It was
very depressing that he was "allowed" to give his sermon at a
certain time. Good thing it was a dream! |
