I said I hope tomorrow is better. So much for hopes.
Well, we have a new stockman, named Jesse. It was cold outside and
slow, too. Along with the stupid stuff on my mind, it made for a
depressing day. Then I got called into Katrina's office. I was
getting written up! She said that on Monday I didn't do the carts
like I was supposed to. First of all, here's an explanation of
Monday: I came in right as Josh left. He had been the only one. The
carts inside were halfway decent, but the parking lot had carts
everywhere, and mainly way in the far ends and there were several
groups of about 15 carts among the many spread out ones. I spent the
first 4 hours just working on the area by the front doors, and
trying to keep inside full while the customers brought out more. I
didn't even get a chance to touch the garden side. I made it look a
little better but progress was slow with almost as many carts coming
out as I was putting in. After my hour lunch, it was just as bad as
when I started. Well, since I hadn't been to the garden area, I was
sure it looked pretty bad, and I was right. Well, it was getting
later so the customers were fewer and I could actually get something
done to the mess left to me. I got half the parking lot done and now
only the area right in front of the store was left. Brian mentioned
how bad the parking lot looked, and I said I knew and that it looks
a lot better than it did before. He asked if I could finish within a
half an hour. I said I could. Well, he sent Mark, Steven, and Cree
out to help me anyway.
Okay, back to today. Katrina said when Fred walked her to her
car, there were lots of carts in the area, and 2 1/2 half hours
later, those same carts were there, meaning I did nothing in that
time (that was when I started doing Garden). I told her I was doing
a different part but she said she had a hard time believing I
couldn't finish the whole lot in that time, and said that even she
would be able to do that. But she ripped up the written form that
Fred asked her to write on me, and just gave me a verbal warning
about my productivity, stating that she knows I can do better.
Better my foot! I worked my butt off that day! Anyway, that sure
wasn't an improvement to my already bummer day.
When lunch came around, I decided to have McDonald's instead of
Subway for the first time since it opened in Wal-Mart. That was a
mistake. Not that I don't like it, but McDonald's just wasn't
happening for me today. The shake tasted weird and I wasn't as
hungry as I thought. I really didn't enjoy the meal at all.
And to top it off, my friend who was mad at me came into work,
and when I was off I went to the break room and she was in there,
too. When the person she was talking to left, she took up reading
the newspaper. I took a chance and sat across the table from her and
asked if she was still mad at me. No response. :( Then she just got
up and left. *sigh* This just isn't my week. |
