Movie with
renewed friend |
12/10/2002 |
Renewed friend, meaning we're back on good terms
again. Yep, Carly took me to see the second "Harry Potter" movie
today. It started when I was in bed, around 10:45 this morning.
Carly had told me she would call around 10:30 in case I wasn't
awake. Well, when the phone rang I jumped out of bed, put on some
pants, opened my door and held out my hand while I waited for the
answerer of the phone to come upstairs and present me with it. Just
as I thought, Catie came upstairs and saw me there and handed me the
phone and said, "Ew, Jason. How did you know?" Well, she was coming
in 10 minutes so I got dressed and ate some scrambled eggs and soon
enough she arrived. I got out the Star Wars Monopoly game I bought
for her that I had recently wrapped, and I put it in the back seat
of her car.
She had a few errands to run first, and then we got to the mall
and found out we had an hour until the next showing, so she took me
to a few places including Bath and Body Works to find some hand
lotion for her friend, and Electronics Boutique so she could look at
the video games, and then we went to Target for her to see if they
had a game. They didn't have any of it left, but she discovered that
their price was lower than Wal-Mart's, so she got an ad so she could
buy it at Wal-Mart (who did have it in stock) at the lower price.
She went to the toy section (since she "always has to check every
store's toy section) and then she said we had better go to the
movies now. We stopped in the Dollar Store first so I could get a
king size Reese's and then we got our tickets and concessions and
sat down during previews. She paid for her own ticket, so I guess
it wasn't a date, lol. I don't care, date or not, it's doing the
same thing with the same person, and that's what makes it special or
not, not the label. The movie was pretty cool. Since the 2nd Harry
Potter book is the worst of the 4 in my opinion, the movie turned
out better than I expected, though some of the acting seemed a
little fake.
After the movie, I went into FYE and got They Might Be Giants'
4th album "Apollo 18". That CD is what introduced me to them and I
like it better than the first 3. Next album of theirs in line is
"John Henry". I got that one not too long before I lost them, and it
was the latest of theirs I had since I wasn't getting them in order.
We went back to her house after a few more stops and just hung
out a little and watched "Ed, Edd, and Eddy". She then said she was
tired and wanted to take a nap and wouldn't want to do any driving
afterwards, so she was going to take me home. I didn't like that too
much, but she's giving me a ride and it's not really my decision to
make. I kinda was tired, too, and I'd much rather take a nap by her
than by myself at home, but anyway, she drove me home and she
thanked me for the present again, and that was it. She was online
later on, but not for very long. |
