Awwwww! 1/29/2003
This is sooo sad! Okay, our family has had 3 dogs; 2 have been given away because we got tired of them. Everyone was reluctant to get our third one (Momo, a golden lab) but my mom wanted one for protection from the cougars (lol) and my youngest brother, Ben, wanted one. We got her from the neighbors when she was just able to walk. Now she's about a year and 9 months old. Everyone complains about having to take her out to the bathroom, and wiping her muddy feet, or her whining, or her chewing up stuff. My mom now sees her as more of a hassle than a joy since she has to clean up after her and usually is the one to bathe her. Here's the sad part: I heard that the other day my mom was complaining a lot about the dog getting muddy outside and just other random stuff about her, and later that day my brother, Matt, came up to my mom and said that Ben had put a sign out in the grass that said "Dog for sale". That is like the saddest thing ever. Ben had said that no one seemed to like her. My mom apologized to Ben and said she would try not to complain as much. Well, I told my mom that we can't get rid of her, because if nothing else, I'd be sad to see her go. My mom said she was surprised to hear that from me. Amy also said she likes Momo. Anyway, I had to tell that. I felt so bad for Ben.
