Sucky Day 2/1/2003
I had to sweep and mop the washroom today. It's never been mopped before and it has more junk in it than a college boy's dorm (pardon the stereotype). Needless to say it took a while.

At work it was raining a little, but Andy and Robert were there so the carts were kept up pretty well among the 3 of us. Melissa didn't seem to want to talk to me today which isn't like her. I was beginning to think that maybe I talked to her too much and she was starting to show her annoyance with me like a lot of the other girls I know when I talk to them a lot. I finally did, however, get a chance to talk to her and it seemed like she was trying to be nice but she was quick to be sarcastic. She did finally tell me that she's just not in the mood today, and it was a combination of many things including a certain time of the month. I asked if I should let her be alone, and she said it would probably be the best thing since she feels she might lash out at anyone and she woudn't want it to be me, though there are a lot of other people she would rather tell to go away than me. She was quite polite, though, for being in a bad mood, like when I helped her out with her straightening up. The rest of the day I didn't talk to her, and felt like she avoided eye contact if I had a job that involved walking past her area. I'm not too worried about it, though, I just don't like when people are feeling bad, and I want to cheer them up or at least help them out with something, and it's a disappointment when the best thing I can do is do nothing. Well, enough about my issues.

Assistant Manager Katrina didn't miss any opportunity to question me about the condition of the parking lot, and to remind me of my job description. That was very annoying, and even more so when Support Manager Mark did the same. People! I know my job! I do my job! Go bother someone else! (well, not Melissa, she's having a bad day) So, I did carts, and I would be told to do something else, and when I would do that something else, I would be told that there were carts in the parking lot. People! We have customers! Lots of them! Of course there are carts in the parking lot! Customers don't stop when I'm bringing carts in. Okay, so anyway I got ALL (yeah, ALL the carts off the parking lot, since Mark reminded me to) and went inside to see what was to be done. Jay is usually around Toys that time of night so I went over there and asked Carly if she had seen him. She hadn't, but she welcomed my help. After we clocked out, I asked, "Do you mind?" and she said, "No." So she took me home in her dad's huge pickup truck since it just came back from the shop and he asked her to drive it to make sure it worked okay. Andrea's in here right now and complaining about the icky sound of my typing while she's playing the video game, lol. No one in my family likes to hear my typing.
