Another sucky day 2/2/2003
First off, I woke up very tired. I've been feeling really tired lately, even though I've been going to bed at a decent time. When I finally did wake up, everyone was rushing to get ready for church. I got dressed and found some socks and went to find my shoes. When I was almost finished putting them on, everyone (besides Matt, who wasn't feeling well, and Amy, who was still asleep) were going out to the car. I quickly went into the bathroom and put some water in my hair and when I came out, the van was gone! I mean, nowhere in sight. I couldn't believe how fast they had gone when they just were walkig outside a few seconds prior. Anyway, my mom calls on the cell phone telling me I can't be on the computer or PlayStion 2 since I didn't make it to church, and I might as well make myself useful by doing the list of chores she told me. Ha, like I'm going to stay off the computer and PS2 that whole time. Well, I checked my email really quick, and I did stay off them, since I watched my DBZ tapes, lol.

After church they came home and said we are going to Bro. Jim and Sis. Judy's house for lunch in a few minutes, and I hadn't even showered and my clothes were just getting done in the wash. Well, I had to take what I was going to wear to her house and dry them there since my dad would be taking me to work from there and wouldn't stop by the house. Great. We had fried bread stuff, though there wasn't enough of it so for seconds you had to have hot dog buns. Matt was reading "The Felloship of the Ring" and I was reading the second one, but I saw Sis. Judy get out the stuff for singing, so I left before it was too late and went outside and continued reading on their back porch swing, despite the cold.

At work, Robert was there and he said the carts weren't looking very good since he only had Josh to work with (yes, already he doesn't like Josh). Right when I clocked in, I heard a page for a stockman somewhere, so I was walking up to where I thought it was and saw Katrina, so I asked her if she heard it. Here's our "lovely" conversation:

Me: Did you hear where that stockman call was?
Her: Are you on the clock?
Me: Yeah, I just clocked in.
Her: Where's your vest?
Me: At the front doors.
Her: You should have your vest on when you're on the clock.
Me: Well, I have to walk back to the clock to clock in, and then walk to the front to get my vest, so there has to be a little time that I'm on without my vest on.
Her: Okay, just go clock in.
Me: I am clocked in.
Her: Then why do you have to walk to the back?
Me: No, no, when I clock in, I have to walk back there.
Her: When do you come on?
Me: At 4... I'm on right now. Here (I took out my name tag and put it on my shirt) I can wear this until I can reach my vest.
Her: Well, you should wear your vest whenever you're on the clock, so go get your vest.

Melissa didn't say hi to me like she usually does, and if she saw me she would just look back to her work like she didn't know me. I wondered if she was still in a bad mood. I did comment on her hair and I couldn't tell if her look meant to go away, or she just didn't understand what I was saying. I was beginning to think that maybe I hang around her too much and I was starting to annoy her like I eventually do to everyone.

I did the carts then, which sucked big time. I swear that I found at least 10 times as many carts with bent/stuck/jammed wheels than I've found on every other day I've worked there. It was unbelievable how many bad carts I found. It was like several other Wal-Marts came and dumped their bad carts on us. I was tired and there were a lot of carts out there. A lot of the people there were on edge. When lunch finally came around (and I made sure the carts looked good enough before I went), I went to Subway and Amanda was there. I told her how things were going, and she told me a little about her problems with her fiance, though they don't sound very severe to me. She looked sad, though, and looked really concerned when I told her about my misfortunes in life. We were the only ones there so I asked her to come around the corner and she did. I held out my arms and said that I think we both need one, and she's like "Awww" and gave me a hug. She said she likes hugs. I said I had to go since Melissa was waiting for me on her lunch (yep, I talked to her and she was feeling okay) but I said I might come back later that night since she's bored.

Melissa was feeling better and seemed back to her happy self, which is good. Things quieted down later on and people were more easy-going. I visited Amanda really quick and that's about it. I got a hug from Melissa before she went home, though. :) And she starts the hug just as often as I do, so I don't think she thinks I'm too touchy.
