Yesterday and today overall sucked (I know I'm using
that word a lot). Yesterday my mom and I went to the DMV to take my
driving test. I bet you're thinking I failed. Well, you're wrong. I
didn't fail. I didn't even take the stinking thing. It was supposed
to be at 12:50 but my mom thought she knew where the DMV was but
thought wrong. So I'm driving while she's giving me instructions of
where to go so we can find it, and we end up going in circles. She
finally called the DMV to ask where they were, and they turned out
to be a street off of where we were, but it was too late now, so I
have to reschedule for this Friday. My mom was all sympathetic
toward me and kept asking what she could do to make it up to me. I
said to let me be on the computer when we get home so I can
hopefully finish the network thing, and she said that I'd be allowed
to do that without any chores. So that part was cool. She also
bought me Subway, and doughnuts, though we had to run quite a few
other errands, too, including finding a hidden Bi-Mart. I was allowed
to be on the computer, it's hard doing so when others want to use
it, and it's time to eat, and everyone is making noise. Well, I
looked at all these sites on how to set up the network, and they all
had different steps. Some said to change this option, while others
said to leave it alone, but set this to this. I didn't get it
working. I only got to where we can share files between them, but I
had to mess that up because I had to start over again for something
else. I finally got Final Fantasy VII running in the good graphics
mode, with the movies working and everything, but then later that
day it just stopped, and I have no idea why. I tried a few things to
no avail.
Today was my parents' anniversary and they were going to the
coast which is about an hour and a half away. This meant I'd either
have to get a ride to work, or take the bus. I called Carly with no
answer. She was obviously already at work. I called Jonathon with no
answer. They were leaving one of the cars so they would have let me
drive it, if I had my license. Needless to say, I don't have it.
Well, the last bus to come by passes our house at 12:45. Whoopie,
and work starts at 4. I missed the bus so my parents took me 1/3 of
the way and dropped me off at a bus stop in Santa Clara. It was around
1. I took that bus to the Eugene Station and had an hour and a half
to kill until the bus that would get me to Wal-Mart in time for my
shift would leave. I decided to go to the Moose-Head Pool Hall and
play DDR while I waited. Guess what? They closed it. Great. So back
to the station I went, with my stupid sore throat. I got a small cup
of ice cream, which didn't really help my throat. The people there
look like they came out of a British comedy. Well, I decided to take
the bus that came a half an hour before the one I was waiting for,
so I'd get at Wal-Mart a half an hour early.
Melissa was there and told me about her fun day. Carly was there,
but was leaving. I told her that I could've used a ride to work
today and she said she was at work since 9. I said, "How dare you,"
in a very unenthusiastic voice since I felt tired. She said she
didn't know I worked today and she was going to call me when she got
home and ask if I wanted to come over. Well of course, this happens
when I'm going to be at work until midnight. I was out talking to
Elisabeth for the first time in a long time when I saw Melissa
walking to her truck. I said that she better not be trying to leave
without a hug. She came back and gave me one, and I tried to pick
her up, but my arms weren't in the right position. Anyway, the day
only got better except my sore throat. I got pizza. I talked with
Zach about old video games (NES games, gotta love 'em). He has all
the DBZ games that I have, including the one I brought to Kelli's
house and gave a copy to her younger brother (that seems like so
long ago, but I can remember it like it happened yesterday). I did
get a ride home from Sis. Judy since she was shopping there, so that
was cool. Well, laters. |
