Fun day (for
once) |
2/12/2003 |
Yay, I got to get out of the house for something
other than pushing carts! (and believe me, I needed to go do
something fun, not only to get out of the house, but to free my mind
of icky problems [lol]). Well yesterday, neither Adam nor Estella
called me to go play DDR, so I called Carly to tell her my day was
free (I had previously told her I was busy) but she wasn't home. I
called Tracy and we confirmed our plans to go to the coast today.
She told me about a hair appointment at 10, so I'd have to sit
through that if I still wanted to go through with the plans. I was
fine with that, of course, I'm too easy-going. I told her I'd have
to go to bed early to get up by then. Well, later on, she called me
again to remind me to go to bed early (lol). She's so silly.
So anyway, I woke up this morning and saw it was 10:52. I was
like, "Oh no!" I wondered why she hadn't been by yet, or if she
already had but no one bothered to tell me. Then I woke up for real
and saw it was 9:16 (seriously, the weirdest things happen to me).
Tracy arrived then and I had to get up and get dressed quickly and
head out the door with her. At the hair place, I watched the process
of the lady (Becky) straighten Tracy's hair (she looked really
pretty with her hair down and wet). :) While she sat with one of the
hair-drying things over her head, Tracy told Becky that I wanted a
haircut, too. I did sort of want one, and even though I usually get
it really short when I cut it, I told her to do whatever she thought
would look good on me, and I didn't care what it was since the worst
that could happen would be that people would get some laughs out of
it (I'd laugh with them) and that would only last until it grew out.
Well, it turns out she gave me a really nice one that, in my
opinion, looks pretty hot for guy's hair.
I brought up that I hadn't eaten breakfast once we got in the
car, and she said she hadn't, either. I suggested going somewhere,
and she said that we already were. She took me to her house, lol,
and we had Lucky Charms. Her dog, Shadow, which is a Newfoundland, and would be as tall as me if he stood on his hind legs,
wouldn't leave me alone, so Tracy's mom put him in the back yard.
After that, we went to the coast. It was sunny and really nice there. We
went on the many rough rocks with pools between them and found lots
of sea anemones, and hermit crabs, and later found starfish. She
had a hard time making her way among the gaps between the rocks. We
both had runny noses, lol. We spent a good 2 hours there, and it was
fun the whole time. Tracy wrote in the sand that she loves Robert
(her fiance) and I wrote in the sand that I don't love him, from
lack of something better to write. Then we decided on something else
to write and we each both wrote half of it. It said, "FOR A GOOD
TIME CALL (random numbers) ASK FOR DEBORAH BARBRA BARBARA" (I used
"Deborah" since that's what my name would be if I was a girl, and I
added the middle and last name because they sounded funny with it).
Then we drove to Old Town and looked in all the shops there and were
there until about 6. I saw some neat stuff and some funny things,
but I don't really remember most of them. I did buy her and me a
piece of fudge. Then we had to go back home because she didn't want
to drive home after dark when the roads might get icy. We stopped
about halfway home in Veneta and went to a Subway. I wanted to go to
Mo's, which is a seafood place, but we didn't have enough time. Then
she took me home.
After watching more DBZ episodes (I'm to the World Championship
Martial Arts Tournament in which The Great Saiya-Man competes), my
mom called me outside to help push this lady's car off the road
because it broke down in front of our house and she would wait for
her son to come get her since she just called him. For the most
part, it was a very nice day and the funnest I've had in a long
time. I really look forward to going with Carly soon.
