Time with Tracy 3/4/2003
Today my bed remained warmed by me up until 11 or so. Sadly, my sheets are all I can offer my warmth to, except for a brief moment like in a hug. Lol, sorry, I just watched "Tuck Everlasting" and it's kinda got me fuzzy inside and at the same time and even more so, lonely. But besides that, nothing really happened until noon when my dad informed me that Andrea would be off work at 1 and I was to pick her up since he'd be at work and my mom was with the 2 youngest at Home Source (helpful classes for home-schoolers). So, at 1 of the clock sharp, I left my house to notice that the road workers who were working at the edge of Santa Clara (6 miles down the road) were now working in front of our house. I ran up to one of the guys holding the stop sign (the road is about 50 yards in front of our house) and asked him what exactly they were doing. He said they were putting in fiber optics. He confirmed that it would allow cable internet for us, and his estimate would be 2 weeks from now until it would be available to us. Yesss! Cable internet is freakin' awesome! Jimmy told me that he has DSL and songs from WinMX download in about a minute! And cable is supposed to be a little faster. Plus it would be a little less than we are paying now for our slow phone line one (dial-up) because we're paying for a second phone line and we could get rid of that with cable. I hope the guy's right, though.

Anyway, on the way to McDonald's, I stopped in Les Schwab and asked again about the center caps for my wheels. Bro. Jim told me that if the caps needed screw holes in the wheels, then he could put some in there, so I could get a center cap even if it doesn't fit my wheel. The guy said that he only has one in stock that screws in, but he suggesting looking in a junk yard first for ones that can go on without making extra screw holes, and then as a last resort to get the ones he has. Well okay, but I'm not going to go alone, that's for sure. That took about 20 minutes because he had to call a place and stuff. I got to McDonald's and Andrea was still working. She didn't get off until 1:30 because it was busy, but I didn't mind. On the way home I stopped at the Chevrolet dealership and asked about the door window seal strips that I needed replaced and the guy said they only have the outer ones. He suggested going to Graffiti Alley (car restoration place) for the inner ones. As it turns out, Graffiti Alley only carries the inner ones, lol. So when I get money, I'm going to buy them. Tracy's dad works at the Chevrolet dealership and he said he would get me a discount on it.

My mom got home a few seconds before we did, and I had to do my chores before I went to Tracy's house. Yesterday, we made plans to do something today, and since we didn't know what, I was supposed to drive to her house and we'd come up with something from there. Lol, really well thought-out plans. So once I finished my chores and left, it was around 5 or 6. I got there and her huge dog wouldn't leave me alone. She was in her parents' room chatting on Excite Instant Messenger. Her dad looked at my car and I showed him the seal strips and such.

Tracy told me there was a new store at the Gateway Mall (the mall's a few streets from her house) and so that pretty much decided where we'd go. Surprisingly, she went to my car meaning I'd be driving. In the food court I saw Nick along with his siblings and dad. I told Nick about my car and he was like, "Finally." They had just gotten food and his dad welcomed us to go sit down with them. I said I wasn't hungry (which I wasn't). He said that he didn't say I'd have to eat. I told him that I was there with Tracy, meaning I'd like to be with her by ourselves. I knew he'd accept that, which he did. So we went to several clothes stores and she thoroughly window-shopped each one. We looked at the movies to see if we wanted to see anything, but the next showings on everything were around 10 and she didn't want to wait that long. Then she asked what I wanted to do. By that time I was kinda hungry and so I told her and we decided to get ice cream from the place where her friend works. We 3 talked while she got our ice cream. I got a scoop of Butterfinger and one of chocolate chip cookie dough, and Tracy got 2 scoops of bubblegum. We both got hot fudge on ours. I pretended to be upset and said, "Oh, I suppose you want some money now, right?" To my surprise, she said that it's okay, it's on the house. That was cool. A little later, Tracy said that her friend gave me more hot fudge than her and she thinks she likes me, lol. I didn't have an opinion one way or the other, but said, "Heh, well if so, at least one person does." We went to the arcade by the $1.50 theater and I beat her at air hockey. Then we went to Tilt, which is the other arcade there and she saw an air hockey there and wanted to play again. The puck was smaller and red and hard to see. She wasted me that time. Half the time I made it rebound into my goal. I saw Nick with his family there. I played DDR with Nick for a while. Then Tilt was closing and we had to leave. I didn't know where Tracy went but Nick and the gang came up to me because they were leaving and his dad told me that if I want to impress a girl, not to go play that game when I bring her. I responded with, "And don't bring a girl who's engaged." Nick laughed and his dad said, "Hey, you get what you can get." I found Tracy and we left the mall and she wanted to go bowling since her parents and sister would be there, too. We got a lane separate from the rest of her family, though. The first time she got 118 and I got 100. She was so excited because it was the first time since she was little that she got more than 100. The second time she got like 70 something, and I got 123. She printed out the first game.

Back at her house, she dad had me play Nascar Thunder 2003 on their computer and stayed there the whole time while I played and would let me know if I did anything wrong like turned too much. They're all into car racing and he builds race cars, I guess.

BTW, my cousin, Janean, is back in California and she really liked the visit. She said it was a little weird around us because she's not used to it, but that it's exactly what she wants at her house.
