I got evaluated
|
3/17/2003 |
I was hoping they'd forget about me until after
today, but they didn't. At Wal-Mart, you get an annual evaluation
and a 4% raise. So I'll go from $7.44 an hour to $7.73. They have to
give you your evaluation at least 30 days before the actual date
you were hired, or else you get a $50 gift card. Today was the last
day I could be evaluated if it was going to be at least 30 days
prior, and they did it (darn it). Well, I managed to recieve "meets
expectations" on every single one of the aspects. My strong points
were being friendly, helping customers, and being eager to help in
other areas. Of the 3 things I supposedly need to work on, 2
contradict each other. The other one was funny... it was spending less
time by the greeters, lol. I talk to them all the time. Anyway, the
2 were cleaning up the carts better, and being easier to find. Um,
okay. But I'm on the parking lot, I'm hard to find, but they want me
to be out there more, but also be easier to find. Sure, whatever. I
don't get anything for exceeding their expectations. I'll just do
the same as I've been doing.
There was a space for me to write comments and/or goals. Goals,
huh? I don't have any goals, and if I did, I wouldn't write them
down. The only thing I can think of would be to keep my "15-minute"
breaks under 45 minutes, but that wouldn't go over well, lol. For my
comments, I wrote: I feel I gather carts as well as possible for 1
person, considering the many calls for customer assistance, a lot of
which take 10 or more minutes, which allows for a lot of customers
to leave their carts outside. |
