Surfacing thoughts 3/22/2003
I'm bored, so I'll just write whatever. First of all, it's 10:50am according to the clock in the lower right-hand corner of the image produced by the tiny clusters of red, green, and blue behind the glass of my 17" monitor that was manufactured by Sony, but for some reason the clock seems to go slower when the computer is working hard on something. I've got both Excite Private Messenger and AOL (either "almost on-line" or "always off-line") Instant Messenger open, and only Kelly is on, whom I haven't talked to in some time now. Tracy isn't on Excite, and I only have that because it's the only one she uses, but so far she hasn't been on when I am. She's sick with the flu :( but she was at work yesterday. She emailed me the other day and it was the first one she sent that wasn't merely a forward. She actually emailed me with a personal letter. Oh great, the song "I Can Hear You" by They Might Be Giants just started playing on my playlist. It was stuck in my head all day yesterday! I finished ripping all my CDs and I barely have enough to meet the requirements to use the program, but the guy hasn't emailed me back with my password yet. Now "Tell Her About It" by Billy Joel is playing. Billy Joel rules. Carly was looking for another car with lower payments than the one she's paying for right now, but no dealership will take hers because it has too many miles, and she would only get $5,000 if she sold it, and she still has $8,000 left to pay on it. I haven't been the most cheerful person lately, I guess, but I really don't have any motivation to be. The only person I really hang around is Tracy since she never tires of my company, which is really all I ask for. She enjoys me hanging around her department as much as I do, and that's rare. And she doesn't get all into trivial stuff like it's special if my hand accidently brushed hers. I helped her put away the many fake flowers into the right places yesterday, and sometimes we had to squeeze right by each other and it's just something like "Heh, I need to get over here", not (Oh, he's touching me) like I'd expect from the majority. It's just more comfortable not having to worry about giving wrong impressions or about if a certain thing meant something. I can be close and flirty without her being nervous or playing some kind of avoiding-me game. She doesn't take anything I do as hitting on her and I can be myself without worry. It's just other people who see us and think something's going on. This lady in Shoes, who helps Tracy out in her department sometimes, always asks me where Tracy is if she sees me by myself, like we're joined at the hip or something. I just go help her out sometimes. Carly welcomes help in straightening up, but she often has someone else keeping her company while she does it, and she talks to them more, and Melissa doesn't like me helping because it's her job and she can do it faster than showing me how to fold them.

My parents just had me make out a budget for my money. Ugh, it's a hassle but I have to save up for my A+ Certification tests. Hopefully I'll get my distributor in the mail for my car soon. Then I'll have more power and it won't die from lack of adequate gas when I need to speed up really quickly. I just had my dad give me a trim. I left the top the same length, but just made the sides and back a lot shorter and I had him make the sides straight so it's less like this (¯) and more like this |¯|. Then when I spike it up, it will be less like this _\|/_ and more like this \\|//. When I do that, my hair looks more spiked up even though my hair's just as long. Now I just need a shower. I can't think of anything else to write because my mom pulled me away to make the budget thing and now my mind isn't in the same mode as it was when I started this. I guess that's enough, though. Thanks for reading.
