I finally convinced Amy to watch the 13th DBZ movie,
which featured Tapeon, whom she thinks is so cool, in looks anyway.
She hasn't seen more than pictures. Since I have all 13 of the
movies on tape along with the episodes, she can just watch it on the
TV. It wasn't hard to convince her to watch it, but more to
convince her to watch it before the other movies. I just wanted her
to see it, lol. We got to where the lower half of... Hildagan?
(that's how the subtitles on my movie spell it, though there are
other companies who make subtitles, too, and they differ). Anyway, his
lower-half was destroying the city and then I looked at the time and
saw I had to leave right away to get to work on time, darn it. I
went out and... my car wouldn't start. Okay, what's the deal? I just
got a new battery. I remembered the guy at Les Schwab said that the
cable might be bad and I might have to wiggle it if it won't start.
I tried that to no avail. We decided to have someone from there come
here to jump-start it and then I'd drive my car to Les Schwab for
them to check it over, at no charge. I informed Wal-Mart that I'd be
late and I said why. The guy who inspected it today sounded more
sure of himself than the last guy. He said there is nothing wrong
with the cable that he can see. He tested the alternater, which
charges the battery when you drive, and it was working fine. Then he
tested to see if something was using the battery when the car's off.
There was, and it was much more than just the stereo keeping my
saved settings. He guessed it was something with my stereo that was
probably hooked to a wrong wire that made something like my amp
always on. Then he said he did all he could and in the meantime to
disconnect my battery when my car's off. Well that's all fine and
dandy, except I have to reset my equalizer and the stations assigned
to the numbered buttons. That's annoying and I don't want to do it
every time I use my car.
I got to work, but first stopped at The Good Guys and told them of
my problem. The car installer looked at it and disconnected all the
stereo components and even took out the bulb to light the engine
with the hood's up. The test meter thing said that about 3 amps were
being drained while the car was off. That meant that something
besides the stereo was using power. The only thing I can think of is
that the ceiling lights don't work, which might be because of a short,
and power might still be being sent to it. I might have to take it
to an electrician, but first I'll go to Tracy's dad because he has a
car like mine and she said he had the same problem, plus he works at
the parts center for the dealership of my car.
Well, I got to work exactly 2 hours late, but it wasn't that
busy. The rest of the day went normal. I ate pizza with Tracy. Oh!
Stockman Josh is moving to the garden center now so he won't be a
stockman anymore. The greeters are happy about that and so are we
stockmen. If anyone will, Keith, the garden department manager, will
have him do what he's supposed to do and not allow any goofing off.
I guess that if he doesn't cut it there then he's outta here. Ami
and Wendy thought I was the one going to the garden center because
someone mixed Josh and me up.
Tracy is going to the coast tomorrow with her family and wanted
me to come but it doesn't fit with my work schedule and by the time
she brought the idea to me it was already too late to try to switch
shifts with Andy. Oh well, that's just my luck. I guess the more
times I don't get to do something, maybe the more they'll want me
to. |
