Living life 4/7/2003
Carly was at work today. I usually don't see her, and you probably have gotten used to me bashing on her for not taking initiative once in a while to talk to me instead of waiting for me all the time. It's not her. I'm the one with the problem. Well, I was talking to Mark yesterday and he was saying how she's gloomy a lot and she's not used to guys coming up and talking to her. He said I should be persistent. Well, for the first time in a long time we passed while walking and we said the standard "hey". Then she was in the break room when I was in there, which also hasn't happened for a long time. I went and sat by her and she showed me her new Gameboy Advance. She said she got a new dog, too. I'll have to go see it one of these days. She had to go back, though, but said to come say "hi" if I'm not busy. Ha! Not busy? Well usually I can spare a good amount of time to talk to Tracy and/or Melissa, but today wasn't a usual day. I was on lunch. I tried following my mom's directions on how to get to Pro Sound and Audio, but they were closed. Drat. When I got back and clocked back in, the carts were in desperate need of gathering, and I got called for a carry-out. It was this guy with a flat cart full of soda. This sucker was stacked high and it was all I could do to pull it. It kept getting stuck on lips of threshholds. After that, I had around 5 carry-outs almost back-to-back and it wasn't until later I could actually start on the carts. "If I'm not busy," I'm sure! Sorry Carly, not this time. I did see her a little later, though, and saw exactly what she did to her hair. She put in a barrette and usually doesn't. For some reason it made her look a little thinner, and after much thinking of words, I told her that, not to say she's fat or anything (even though she is kinda, but I don't like talking about it). She laughed at that and said she knows I'm not trying to say she looks fat other days. Ugh, I hate giving compliments that can either be taken bad or good, but it's even harder not to give one if there's an obvious opportunity. I have plans with her to see "Spirited Away" on Wednesday. :) I'm such a freak.

I didn't procrastinate and packed up the distributor and gave it to my dad to return to the company we bought it from. I'm just going to look around car wrecking places for a used one.

Have you ever thought you had something and a long time later found out you really didn't?
