Some stuff I
forgot to mention |
5/11/2003 |
With my distributor, it did arrive. I got paid
Thursday and headed over to K'nechts to get it. It didn't have the
cap or rotor, but they tried to explain to me how to take out my
distributor and put in the new one since they charge an extra $30
when you buy it and give it back to you when you give them your old
one, and I didn't have $30 extra on me. I couldn't figure it out and
didn't want to go back to the ATM and get more money out, so I told
them I would just come back some other time. They mentioned an ATM
next door at the restaurant (The Viking Inn) and I went over there
and asked where it was. The girl said it was over in the bar and I
stood there silent for a second and she said, "What? Are you not old
enough?" I smiled and said I wasn't. Darn it, now she knows so she
would stop me. I just went home.
I called Steve and he said to buy it and bring it over to make
sure it's the right one this time. I went to the ATM by the Dollar
Store and got out $40, then went to K'nechts and bought the
distributor, then went to Steve's and showed it to him. He said that
it's the right one this time (yay!) but they should have given me
the wire that comes out of it. He said to go back to K'nechts and
ask about the wire and buy a cap and rotor for it. He scrounged
around and found an old distributor that was the same kind as the
one in my car and said to give it to them for the $30, and he'd just
keep mine when he takes it out. That was cool. The only problem was,
I was planning on the stop at his house to be the last of my
errands, and since he lives near Santa Clara, I was going to stop by
Taco Bell for lunch. Now I needed to go back to Junction City for
more stuff, but I went to Taco Bell first, anyway. I got the #8,
which is 2 gorditas with sour cream and a large soda and some mexi
fries. She asked if I wanted a certain side dish and I declined, but
said I wanted mexi fries. Well, when I got my order, it came with
everything, except there were 2 orders of mexi fries. I guess the
lady thought I meant I wanted mexi fries in addition to the combo
meal, baka (great, now I'm calling people "baka" like someone else
I know. That reminds me, on ".Hack: Infection" I have it set so the
people talk with their Japanese voices instead of the English ones
recorded when they translated the game and when Gardenia told my
character to shut up, the voice said "urusai". That's the first time
I've heard it said by someone talking in Japanese, even after
watching all those Japanese episodes of Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball
Z). So then I went to K'nechts and bought the cap and rotor and he
put them on for me. He said I have to use the wire from the
distributor I brought in, so he took it off for me and put it on my
new one. Lastly, I called Steve and set up an appointment for
Wednesday for him to put it in.
"The Matrix: Reloaded" starts showing on the 15th. Nick at work said
he'll probably see it with Carly, so whatever. But the 15th is also
the day my CDs are scheduled to arrive. A few years ago I found
this site with all these Dragon Ball Z songs from the show that this
guy took from his CDs and ripped into MP3s, though only in 96-bit
quality. At the time, I didn't know anything about quality. Since
then, I've always wanted to find better quality ones, but I can only
find a few of them on KaZaA or WinMX. I finally decided to order the
CD myself. There are several CD sets, but the one I'm getting has
all the songs. It's 5 CDs long and has every opening theme, ending
credits theme, background song, some songs inspired by the
anime, of all the movies and TV sagas of Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball
Z. That cost me $83. Now all I need to get is the CD with the
songs from the 3 DBZ games for Super Nintendo, remixed with real
instruments. They sound cool, trust me. Now I just need money! Lol.
