I had today off and spent some of it writing entries.
My parents were talking about finances and stuff since my dad's out
of a job and is trying to get his business he started a while ago
stronger. Andrea said my mom was dropping her off at the mall and
she asked if I could pick her up. I said I would.
I was talking to Jamie when my mom said that she and Andrea need
the computer (and Jamie had just gotten on, too!). Then they closed
the doors and wouldn't even let my dad in. They were looking
something up on the computer and probably planning a surprise or
something, or maybe it was embarrassing female stuff. My mom was now
going with Andrea to the mall so she didn't need a ride back. Amy
kept bugging me to take her to Joann Fabrics so she can get some
furry fabric to make the squirrel costume for her friend to wear in
his commercial that he's making for a class assignment. My mom let
me take her (she's still wary about me driving my siblings) and so
we went. Joann Fabrics is only in Santa Clara, which is before
Eugene. We were going to listen to the Disturbed CD that I'm
borrowing from Nick, but she's already heard it enough from Nick and
her friend, Joann (not in any way related to the fabric store, lol)
so we listened to Slipknot's Iowa CD instead, and later on listened
to the whole System of a Down: Toxicity CD.
We had to first go to the bank so she could get money out and
it's okay because it's on the way to the fabric store. We didn't
find what she was looking for, so I suggested the fabric department
in Wal-Mart since I've seen furry material there, plus Tracy works
in there, and Carly had IMed me and said she's working at 5, so we
could walk past Toys and say "hi" to her on our way out. Also, I
could use my discount card to buy it so it would be cheaper for her,
anyway. We found what she wanted and Tracy cut it for her and helped
her decide how much she'd need. To my surprise, this was Amy's first
time meeting her, and she said she was nice. I asked if Amy was
hungry and she said she was and I suggested going to Taco Bell
after we leave Wal-Mart. Tracy elbowed me for talking about it and
then I remembered that she LOVES Taco Bell. She said, "You're going
to get some for me, right Jason?" Amy said she wouldn't mind buying
some for her and bringing it back, and Tracy said how we're so nice.
Yeah, yeah, whatever, lol. I led Amy to Electronics so I could see
what the second .Hack game looks like, then we went to Toys to see
Carly really quick. I could imagine Amy rolling her eyes as I turned
down the aisle where Carly was. She said "hi" and basically asked
what I was doing tonight because she wanted to do something. I was
like, "You... close, right?" She said she got off at 11. I reminded
her that I had to be home at 1 and she didn't seem to think that was
a problem. She said she wanted to go to Sheri's instead of going
right home because her parents are driving her crazy. I confirmed
that it was open that late and she said they're open 24 hours. Then
I asked if I would just go there and wait outside, or what. She
laughed and said just to come to Wal-Mart at 11 and we'd both drive
there. Amy looked at me and knocked on her head (copying what she
does to our dog. It makes a hollow sound when she does it to our dog
and she then says "no brain" because it sounds hollow. She obviously
was gesturing I had no brain). I asked what she meant and she looked
at Carly and Carly said "exactly". I asked how I had no brain and
Amy said it was because I didn't seem to know anything and kept
asking questions. How was I supposed to know that Sheri's is open 24
hours? I didn't know any restaurant was.
So we got Taco Bell and brought Tracy her 2 bean burritos with
sour cream, and without onions, then I took us home.
It turned out that Andrea and my mom didn't go to the mall and weren't going
to. When it was getting close to 11, I had to go to the bathroom and
brought the book "Catch-22" to read because I didn't know how long
I'd take. I guess I took a while and when I got out, it was 11:06. I
was supposed to BE there at 11! It takes at least 15 minutes to get
there. I thought she had probably left or was waiting outside. She
doesn't have a cell phone and I didn't know what to do. I called
Wal-Mart and asked for the toys department. Someone answered who
wasn't Carly, and then I realized that it was one of the overnight
stockers. She said that the people had already gone home, but she
might still be in the store. I had to call again and had her paged,
and she answered! I apologized for not being there yet, and she said
it was okay and that she had invited Ami (not my sister) to come
along, too. The last thing she said was to call her tomorrow. After
hanging up, I then thought that maybe she thought I was calling to
say I couldn't go, because otherwise she wouldn't say to call her
tomorrow.
I hurried and drove to Sheri's hoping to get there at the same
time they did, but they weren't there yet. I took a chance and went
to Wal-Mart, and to my relief, her car was still there. They had
just told the "closers" they could go home. Carly was surprised to
see me there, but all 3 of us went to Sheri's anyway. I had the
strawberry and whipped cream belgian waffles. Yummy. Carly was
working out a crossword puzzle while we waited and Ami was writing
down a dream she had and looking up things in her dream dictionary.
We told her a few of our dreams we've had before and she would tell
us what things mean. Afterwards, Carly told me she's glad I came and
that it was fun, and to call her tomorrow before she goes to work.
