So today was the day I was supposed to see the second
Matrix movie with Randy. I previously heard that the movie was all
sold out and I was going to cancel my plans with Randy, but then
Carly told me that it wasn't sold out at all, so when Randy called
me today to ask when we're going to see it, I suggested just leaving
and getting whatever showing wasn't sold out. I had to do some
chores first, though, and it was around 11 in the morning, I think,
when I finally got out of the house to pick him up. He lives off of
Coburg road, which is near the Gateway Mall where the theater is, so
at least I didn't have to go out of my way.
When I was pulling out of my driveway and waiting for the group
of cars to pass by, I noticed Carly's car was the second-to-last
one, and we waved to each other. I remembered she was going to see
the X-Men movie for the third time with Nick and figured she was
probably going there. I pulled behind the car behind her and a
little bit later, that car turned off somewhere, so I was behind
her and was behind her until Santa Clara when she turned a
different way. That was kinda funny.
When I got to Randy's house, he had been waiting for me. In the
car I played the "Tenacious D" CD I'm borrowing from Nick. At the
mall, I pulled into the nearest parking spot and then noticed
Carly's car nearby. I told Randy that my friend was here with her
friend and seeing a movie, too, and that this was her car. At the
Cinemark theater we saw that none of the showings were sold out
and that one had started a few minutes ago and the next one would
start in like 2 hours, so we decided to get the one that just
started and to hurry up. We first had to run to the other side of
the mall and get our candy at the Dollar Store and then when we
were hurrying back, I saw Carly and Nick from work walking and I
told Randy that she was the friend whom the car belonged to and how
it was funny that we were at the mall at the same time. The only
other times I've seen someone from work at the mall was when I saw
Andy with his friend walking, and one time I saw Steven in the food
court before he went to work. We passed them since our movie was
starting and I whispered loudly to Carly, "Loser!" when I passed.
She paused and then said, "Whatever!" Nick said, "Hey, what's up?" I
told them we're in a hurry because we were missing the previews and
might miss some of the movie. She said their movie was starting
right now, too. I always get the feeling that I'm intruding if she's
talking to someone and I walk up, but whenever she's talking to me
and someone comes by, she starts talking to them until they leave.
Anyway, the movie was good, of course, but I had already seen it.
Randy wanted to go into Game Crazy and look for something. Then we
went into the new sword shop and looked at all the impressive swords
and daggers. They had several that were replicas from The Lord of
the Rings movies. They were really cool.
After all that was over, I was at home on AIM, but I was away.
When I came back I saw that Carly was on and I started talking to
her, but she said she was just about to go to bed and she left.
That's kinda weird that we ran into each other more than once there.
