What gives? 5/24/2003
Today Andy and Robert were there, so I had a little help for once. Everything went along normal, except a few things. When I was still in the back room from clocking in, I saw Carly and she looked at me like how dare I talk to her. I ignored it and asked her the question I was going to, which was work-related. Later that day, I saw Maria, whom I went to school with. She's Randy's friend, too. I haven't seen her in a while. I saw her in the garden center parking lot and she had me follow her to the main entrance while we talked and I saw Carly outside, too (which is rare), because she was helping a customer with something out on the sidewalk that is from her department, but we're selling it out there. Her back was to me, but right as I passed, she turned around and looked at me like she knew I was there. It was a little weird and I got the vibe that she was mad at me for something but not telling me why.

After she went home, I saw Dennis outside. He works in the pet department, which is right next to Toys, so consequently, they talk. I asked him if Carly was having an alright day and he said that he asked her the same thing and she just made an irritated noise and he thinks it's just been really busy and she's stressed. I told him I hoped that's all it was. I wondered if she didn't like being called "loser" when I was at the mall or something, because I couldn't think of anything else that I've done or said to her.

At lunch, I saw Nick (from work) and he asked me how the movie was (when I went with Randy). I told him I'd already seen it, but it was still cool, of course. I asked him how the movie he and Carly saw again was and he said it was good again. I mentioned that I didn't stay and talk to them at the mall because I feel like I'm intruding on their time, and he said he didn't feel that way. Then he said that she told him that I followed her to Santa Clara and also ran into her at the mall and she thinks that's too much of a coincidence, like I was following her around or something. He also said that she claims I ask her about seeing "Treasure Planet" with her every day. Well excuse me, but plans keep changing and it keeps not working out, so of course I'm going to ask about it whenever I'm not sure. I mean, I want to see the movie, with her or not, but I didn't want to see it by myself because she said she'd see it with me, so I decided to wait for her, but if it's bugging her that I keep bringing it up, when she's the one who offered to see it with me in the first place, then I'll just see it myself. I didn't want a big deal to be made out of it. Well, I told Nick I followed her on the street because it only has 1 lane per direction of traffic and I happened to be going the same way. And at the movies, it was because we both went to see a movie, but I had plans to see it with Randy on Thursday first. And also, how would I know which showing she would be seeing? And wouldn't I see the same movie as her? Well, he said that he knew there was another side to the story and that he'd talk to her. I said he didn't need to because this was my problem. It's not like I'd have much luck talking to her about it, though. I can't work things out with people very well.

I saw Steven and he asked me what was up. I told him that someone thought I was stalking them, just to get a reaction out of him. To my surprise, he was like, "Oh, you mean Carly? At the mall?" I confirmed that he knew about it, and he said, "Yeah, she came up to me and was like 'Steven, you gotta hear what happened'." Hmm, that's interesting. Well at least I know what it's about, or do I? The "following" thing wouldn't be a very big issue unless there was something bigger going on.

Also, Melissa has started up her "ignoring me" thing again. I really don't know how I attract such feelings my way.

The lady in the van wasn't there. I don't miss her, though, lol.
