My youngest brother, Ben, is now 11 years old.
Before work, I went and picked up the Camaro emblem that goes on
the front of my car, since there wasn't one there when I bought it.
I'll have to put it on soon.
It was very, very busy today, and hot, and bright from the
sunlight reflecting off the white sidewalks, off the cars, off the
metal carts, and from the sun itself. I found a pair of sunglasses I
want. Now I just need some money...
But today went by sooooo slooooow, despite it being really busy.
I was just miserable squinting the whole time and having lots of
people and cars going in my way as I try to push a group of carts
that keep wanting to turn a certain way and they probably all have
hair in their wheels, and the temperature wasn't helping. At least I
frequently went inside for drinks of water, and believe me, my
breaks were appreciated. I just sat out on the porch swing on
display and read my book under the canope on both my breaks and I
ate at Subway for lunch. During my first break, Carly
and Wendy came out and helped load the swing right next to mine into
a guy's pickup truck. Great, and why am I even taking my breaks
outside? Oh well, we won't run into each other nearly as often as if
I took my breaks inside. Besides, it's a lot more quiet out there
and you get a breeze once in a while, and fresh air, although I get
that all day.
At least I got all my storage areas back for carts! Yay! Now I
can put carts there and not have to worry about them going back on
the parking lot.
I talked to Tracy a little bit and she told me that her fiance
finally settled on the worker's compensation at 80,000 freakin'
dollars! And you know what he's going to do with it? Buy her a new
car! Plus the agreement gets all his future doctor bills paid and
he can also go back to court for malpractice. So um, bye bye,
Jason. She's going to see "Finding Nemo" with her sister, so I'm
going to try to get them to let me come along, too, since I most
likely won't be seeing it with Carly.
I talked to Nick today and asked if he has plans to see any
movies yet. I knew that Carly said she probably won't see the Matrix
movie with anyone, but Nick told me Carly saw it with Andy and that
he has plans with her to see "Finding Nemo". I suggested that I see
the Matrix movie again, but with him this time, and he was cool with
that, but mentioned that it would be my 3rd time seeing it. I said
that he hasn't seen it, plus he probably wouldn't want to see
"Finding Nemo" with me, and he agreed. Right away, he asked what
days I have off and it turned out that we have the same 3 days off.
He asked for my number and said he'd call this Tuesday. Wow, that's
a whole lot easier than making plans with Carly! And Nick even has
college! Well, all in all, it was a lousy day with a few good
things. I really need some sunglasses!
