With the Idaho
brethren |
7/6/2003 |
Since Bro. Jason and his wife, Sis. Donna, Sis. Cora,
and Sis. Pat were visiting, they came to church. I got up kinda late
and had to eat breakfast because I was starving, but my family
already left for church before I was done. I was to bring the cherry
crisp that my mom made from the cherries from our cherry trees. I
had to take it because there was no more room on the van. So after I
finished eating, I brought it out to my car (it was really hot so I
had to use pot-holders). While opening the door and holding the pan
in one hand, I felt something on my clothes. I looked down and some
of the liquid had spilled onto my shirt and shorts. Wonderful. At
least it didn't burn me. So I had to change my clothes. The floor of
my car isn't exactly level, so I had to put a towel under the pan to
make it flat.
After Bro. Steve's sermon, Sis. Pat made a prophecy to Ashley, Heather, and my sister, Andrea, saying that they will have a
bond that will last until the end of their lives and that their bond
will be a marvel among our 3 churches. It also said that Ashley
would become a prophetess. Then she walked to Bro. Don (who is
really old) and said that his days are few, but that we all love him
and for him to be comforted with our company. He's lonely a lot
since his wife died.
After church, we went to Bro. Jim and Sis. Judy's house for lunch.
We had her speciatly: novaho tacos and, of course, they were really
good. I couldn't stay long since I had to work. It went pretty
normally. One thing I remember, though, is that one of the cheesy
arcade games near the front of the store was making this ringing
noise because someone had only put in 1 of the 2 required quarters
and it was signaling to put in one more quarter, but the person
left. I went over there and pressed the "coin release" button but it
didn't work. The noise was driving the greeter and me crazier. I
guessed that you had to have all the money in it before it would
return it, but I didn't have a quarter. I put in a dollar and it
automatically started a game, and the coin release still didn't
work. I hurried through both games and then it started making the
noise because there was again only a quarter in it. Ugh, stupid
machine! I unplugged it. Later on, 2 boys my age in punk/goth
clothing were trying to figure out what was wrong with it. I told
them I unplugged it, and plugged it back in. I also said they only
need to put in 1 quarter. When they went back to their car, I noticed
it was the same car I was looking at before and I asked them what
the logo on the side of their car was from (it looked like a skull
with eyes and I've seen it before). They seemed annoyed like I was
being too friendly but answered anyway. The boy said it was the logo
for the band "The Misfits". I told him I'd have to look into it.
I asked Kevin if I could borrow some of his CDs and he could
borrow some of mine. He said he'd bring some of Ozzie, Black Sabbath,
and Korn and he'd want to borrow some of my Metallica CDs. I can't
wait. |
