I almost died
again |

Right after I talked to Kelli (I read the 1st chapter
of her story, too), I had to leave for work. I was running late and
the guy in front of me was going slow on a long country road. Once
there was finally a break in the oncoming cars, I made to pass him
and once I got back into my lane and hadn't slowed down from
passing, this big pickup truck pulled onto the road right in front
of me, giving me no space at all. Even if I slammed on my breaks as
hard as I could, it wouldn't have been nearly enough to keep me from
piling into the back of it. With no other option, I swirved into the
other lane and passed him quickly. I'm lucky that no cars in the
other lane were close. At a red light, the guy whom I passed in the
first place pulled beside me and told me that God saved my life back
there. Then the light turned green and he still tried to talk to me
while we drove but traffic prevented us from staying side-by-side so
I just went ahead.
At work, I met Kristen's boyfriend. He came by on a motorcycle
and we got to discussing how motorcycles drive differently than cars.
Also, I talked to Damaris because she was wearing a Pink Floyd shirt
and I asked her how it sounds. She never really talked to me before
when I tried, but she immediately said she could let me borrow a CD
of it. That was yesterday. Today she brought 2 of them and she
looked through mine and decided to borrow "Korn - Issues". She
noticed my Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z soundtrack and said, "Oh, you
like Dragon Ball?" She has a few episodes of Dragon Ball GT, but one is in
English. It's pretty rare to find fellow DBZ fans.
Tracy came to me and enlightened me about some rumors going
around. The first one is that I'm dating her (Tracy). Another is that she's
cheating on me with James. James is like 40-something but she gets
along with him. Also, one rumor says she's sleeping with Support
Manager Chris since she knew him for a long time. Someone also asked
her if I was gay because they heard something about that, and she
heard a rumor that she's homosexual, as well. Stupid rumors. Well,
Tracy kept trying to get James to come over to her house tonight and
after she finally convinced him, she asked if I wanted to come
along. We went to the movie rental place and they couldn't find
anything. James didn't care what we watched, and no one asked me
what I wanted. But Tracy never asks what someone else wants. If she
wants it, that's what she gets, no matter if no one else wants it.
Well, I went off and looked at the anime and saw a couple I knew,
but no Spirited Away. Princess Mononoke was there, however, and I
brought it to them and said that if we got what I wanted, we'd get
this. Tracy said no cartoons. She only likes cartoons when she's
with her niece (she sure acts like a little kid, though). While
browsing, I came across Oscar! That's such a hilarious movie! I said
we should get it but Tracy said that the only good Sylvester Stallone
movies he made were the Rambo ones. She didn't want to get it
because it was VHS and, according to her, if it was good enough, they
would have made a DVD of it. We looked a little more and James said
that I had already found one so we should get it. Then Tracy saw
"The Tuxedo" and said she wanted to see that so that's what we were
getting, and she went right up to the counter and paid for it. Well,
next time she wants me over, I'll tell her I'm not sure because we
never get what I want. The movie was alright. Afterward, James
wanted to go, but Tracy kept making him stay and would show him her
photo albums and stuff. I sat on the couch while she showed him all
the pictures in the kitchen. When she was done, she handed me the
album and said I can look at them if I want, and then wanted to show
James the back yard and her bunnies (at 2 in the morning). He kept
saying, "Okay, I'm going now," but she wouldn't let him. He finally
got away and she said she'd walk him to his car. I went outside, too,
got in my car and drove away. If she's not going to notice that I'm
there, too, there's no point in being there. She waved to me and
talked to James more. Well, I didn't care about much today, so
whatever. |
