That one girl,
Angela |
10/18/2003 |
I can't really remember anything special that
happened today except what happened at night. Oh wait, I remember
some stuff. It's funny. Okay, there is this girl who works in the
jewelery department named Angela. She's been working here for 3
months, is what I got out of her. Brent told me that Andy, the guy
who's been here for 6 years, mostly pushing carts, has the hots for
her and wouldn't stop talking about her. This is Andy he's talking
about, right? Andy, the quiet guy who's friends with everyone in the
store? Andy, the guy who is skinny but supposedly can bench more
than anyone at the parties at his house? Andy, the guy who, like me,
has never had a girlfriend, but unlike me, doesn't get very close to
any girls. He actually likes someone? Well, I suppose anything can
happen. Anyway, I heard Brent say that all the guys supposedly want
her and think she's the prettiest girl alive. Phil came and took his
break outside and I asked him what he knew about her. He said that
there's no doubt at all that she's very hot, but he said it's funny
to see all the guys hit on her. I heard that Andy walks her to her
car and gets hugs (hugs? Andy? Nah!) from her all the time. The idea
is that she likes him as well (but around Wal-Mart, anything can
turn into gossip). Randy (whom I'd imagine would hang around Angela
while she works and politely puts up with him) has her phone number
and they are supposed to eat breakfast out sometime. Wow, Randy, I'm
impressed. Maybe I can take lessons from you, lol. Why haven't I
heard about this until now? Oh yeah, I'm outside most of the time.
The only thing I had heard about her is that Randy wanted my opinion
of her (of course he did). Well, sure, she's cute, but I wouldn't go
as far as to say she's the cutest. I think that label goes
more for Damaris. ^_^
In the break room, Angela came in and sat at a different table. I
was reading the comics and the 2 times I looked up at the people in
the break room, her and my eyes met. Hmm, is there a chance in the
world she actually thinks I'm attractive? What will women think of
next? I'm not about to join the bandwagon and flirt with her as
well, aside from the normal friendly things I do or say to anyone
who is friendly with me.
Anyway, while I was going on lunch and Brent was going home, he
decided to stay and share a pizza with me (his treat). Angela is
learning the shoe department, which is right next to the jewelry one,
so that she can work in either and get more hours. While approaching
the shoe department, Brent said that she was probably in there (he's
not under her spell, either. He just thinks it's interesting how so
many guys are after her). He said that most likely, Randy would be
there, too, but he meant it as a joke. As we walked by, we saw Randy
standing and talking to her as she worked. Well hey, good luck to
him. I've never had any luck that way, but maybe he will.
Aside from all that stuff, I will now talk about the boys in the
parking lot. No, I don't look at and notice boys in the parking lot;
not unless they are in a corner of it at night and standing outside
their car with their (c)rap blasting. There were 2 shopping carts
near them and as I approached them, one of them came to me and asked
me if I 4/20-ed. I didn't answer, and he asked if I knew what 4/20
meant. I said I could guess. I said that I heard it was unofficial
"smoke marijuana day" and he asked if I smoked it. I said I didn't,
and one of the other of the 4 boys said, "He doesn't care, just
leave him alone." The first guy asked if I was just working and I
said I was. Then he said that if I wasn't working, they'd have
gotten me high. I said that I don't smoke cigarettes or any other
kind of smoked drug, and one of the guys walked up to me and said,
"Okay, just go and do your carts now." I was hesitant to report them
to a manager since they'd know it was me who reported them and I
wasn't sure what they'd do. I told both of the people greeters and
when I went back out, they were in their car. Then they drove to
another part of the parking lot and sat. They then picked up another
guy and they drove off loudly.
I thought I smelled something familiar!
