I had yummy instant oatmeal for breakfast. It was
cinnamon with pieces of apple in it. So good! My mom left with Ben
and Catie for their homeschool classes and my dad eventually left
for more business errands. My license plates arrived, too! They say
DBZ28! It was business day number 42, being the last day of the
4-6-week period they had told me. I was being generous and only
counting business days. Wow, they really cut it close!
I turned off Cybersitter so I could download music since it has a
habit of messing the songs up. Andrea called to be picked up, so I
left the computer how it was and got her. I had a fudge sundae and
when we got back, my dad's car was in the driveway. That's just
great. I left Cybersitter off and my dad would obviously see it if
he got on the computer, which, knowing him, he most likely did. Yep,
he was on it, and also in his profile meaning all my stuff (music
downloading, music player, and AIM) were closed out. He asked me why
Cybersitter was off and I said because the internet wasn't working
right and checking to see if Cybersitter was causing any of it was
an unavoidable step, since I'm in charge of making sure the computer
runs fine. If the internet's not working and my dad needs to use it,
he has to wait for me to get it working again. If I waited for him
or my mom to come home and turn off Cybersitter so I could see if
that was causing any of it, it would just take longer before I got
it working again, and my dad doesn't have all the time in the world
to do things for his business. Well, my dad still said I wasn't
honoring their rules by not turning off the filtering, and said that
I should have called him and told him about it, and he'd decided if
he would let me turn it off or not. Well, I can live with that.
Yesterday, I went through a long process of getting Todd's number
by going to Wal-Mart and asking for the manager to call him and she
wouldn't do it. I finally got a CSM to do it for me and Todd's mom
answered and gave me their number. Kristen didn't want to do
anything since she was tired, and Todd didn't want to do anything
with me since he wanted to spend time with Kristen (that's
understandable. If I had a girlfriend, I'd want to spend lots of
time with her, too) so he said he'd call today. He didn't call for a
while, so I called there. He said that both he and Kristen have to
get up at 5-6 tomorrow morning, so they were going to go to bed
early, but maybe on my next day off we can do something. That works
out fine, because I already had to be the chauffeur for my sister
for who knows how long.
I drove Andrea to Meier & Frank where she looked for a copy
of a white bell-sleeved blouse that a customer at McDonald's was
wearing and said she got it there. The search was quite lengthy and
it took just as long for her to try 4 shirts on (I'm not joking
either) and she ended up wanting to try another store. We got there
around 7 and while Andrea was in the fitting room, I overheard an
employee at Meier & Frank tell her co-worker that it was around
8:30. Since my aunt is in Idaho until Sis. Pat either gets better or
passes away, the Sephiroth costume is down the drain. I decided
reluctantly to still dress up and I'd just go as Trunks from DBZ. I
already have black pants (though they have several zippers on them),
I have black boots similar to the brown ones Trunks wears, I have a
black tank top, and all I needed was a dark blue wind-breaker so I
could shorten it to only cover half my torso and then get some
temporary violet hair dye to make my hair match his. The only
problem is that his hair is longer than mine, so a wig would be in
order.
The next store Andrea led me into was Hot Topic, since Amy had
told her that they had parts of costumes that could work with her
medieval dress she was going to wear. Andrea didn't find anything
she wanted in there and I didn't find a wig. I went to Suncoast to
see if they had anything remotely related to the jacket that Trunks
wears, or if the people there would know of a place that would have
one, but they didn't. I checked in Copeland's Sports for a jacket,
but they didn't have any in dark blue with no design. We went to the
Halloween superstore where the Emporium used to be and Andrea looked
for a medieval dress costume but they were too expensive and it was
10 minutes of 9. The mall closes at 9. We went back to Meier & Frank to get that white blouse she had picked out but found that it
had been moved from where she left it and the only other one like
it had a few small stains on it and she refused to buy it. The mall
closed and we left. The next stop was Wal-Mart so she could look
through their costumes and fabric. Yay.
She took a long time looking through the fabric and picking
things out. Tracy was there and was helping her decided how much
she'd need. We got home around 10 of the clock. I didn't have a
costume at all. I thought of being a photo negative. I'd take a picture of
me, use a photo program to turn it into a negative (inverse) and
then paint my face and hair accordingly, and wear clothes that would
be the opposite of what I'd normally wear. That idea evolved into
going in completely grayscale. I'd paint my face, hair, and arms the
shade of gray that they would be if I were in a black and white
photo, and just wear gray clothes. That idea evolved into dressing
up as a drawing. The black and white idea was still going to be
used, but I'd have my dad draw my eyebrow, lips, etc. with gray and
make my face look sketchy. This should be interesting.
