A list of things that rule 2/14/2004
I have a list of things that rule and I just thought I'd share it with everyone. Ever get to wondering if something is cool or not? Does this thing in my hand rule? Am I hip? Well, ponder no further, for in this list is all things cool and that rule. The list is in a very particular order based around the idea of listing things as they come to one's head. So, peoples, read:

1. Calculators - Face it, calculators rule. They help you with math when you don't want to bother figuring out what 5 X 12 is. You just let your fingers do the work and viola! there's your answer. They're especially handy when dealing with decimals and percentages. Not only do they save wear and tear on your brain, but they are environment-friendly. They don't cough out harmful polutants (only helpful polutants) and disrupt our precious ozone. They save trees by eliminating the need for billions of sheets of paper used as scratch paper when figuring out a multiplication problem with 5-digit numbers.

2. Notepad - Notepad.exe is by far the best text editor in existence, followed closely by edit.com for all you Disk Operating System (DOS) fans. Word is great for pretty stuff, but when it comes down to the HyperText Markup Language (HTML) codes, the lists of Uniform Resource Locators (URLs), variable values in your Role-Playing Game (RPG) Maker 2003 (RM2K3) game when you're debugging the cool experience (EXP) system you made up, or the temporary dumps when copying more than one piece of data at a time for those who don't have multiple clipboards, this thing is the cream of the crop. Notepad - never install Windows without it.

3. Socks - When you're sitting at your computer in the one room in the house where the heat doesn't reach, socks are your best friend. Just pop those suckers right on and away go all your troubles. No more days with the constant nagging in the back of your mind about your feet being cold. No, there're no worries with socks, my friend.

4. Keys - Can't get into your house without 'em. Can't drive your car, either. That wouldn't be good.

5. Computers - Man, first of all, there wouldn't be Notepad or RM2K3 or America On-Line (AOL) Instant Messenger (AIM) without computers. Computers rule and that goes without saying. I wouldn't have met my Kelli if it weren't for this wonderful piece of machinery. It's an efficient replacement for reality if you use it correctly (AKA never get off it).

6. Popcorn - One of the best snacks ever. Even with just salt, I can eat popcorn and never get tired of it.

7. Movies - What would you do with friends without movies? What would popcorn be for? The world would go into a huge state of boredom with no one having those good ol' movies to turn to when nothing else sounds fun. I can't count the times that absolutely nothing sounded fun and I was just depressed and bored and then I remembered about movies and it just took all my boredom away.

8. Food - Food is the best way to stop being hungry. Other alternatives are: Death, being knocked unconscious, getting into a coma, doing something to get your mind off it, or going to a brain specialist and having him/her disconnect the part that receives signals from your stomach.

9. Friends - When they are real ones, they rule lots. Kelli is a great example. I feel honored to be able to mention her name.

10. Other Things - This is true. It's like the rectangle/square fact. All squares are rectangles but not all rectangles are squares. All things that rule are part of the group of thing that weren't mentioned here, but not all those things are things that rule. Rectangles are squares. Things, other than the above, rule. Not all of them do, but the ones that do, do, so that statement is true since there is more than one thing that rules, and so if talking about the things, besides the above mentioned, that do rule, it's plural, so "other things" can represent any amount of items in that category as long as it's more than one. So things, that weren't listed above, rule when speaking of the items in that group that can be described as "things that rule".
