More like yesterday 5/8/2004
Today I woke up and decided that I'd go to Personnel Source and get my last paycheck. I planned on getting gas first, then going the opposite way to Eugene to Personnel Source. Ben came up and told me that my dad wants me up and that I was supposed to go help Bro. Jim with his shed because he and I made a deal that for every hour I help him with his shed, he'll help me with my nastily damaged rear bumper. I told my dad that I was supposed to do it on Saturday and he said that today was Saturday. Then why was yesterday Thursday? He said yesterday was Friday. Then why did I think all day that yesterday was Thursday and that today was Friday? Why was the day before Friday Wednesday? Where the freakin' heck did Thursday go? Ugh, now I can't get my check until Monday. That really upsets me. Well, since it is Saturday today, I decided I'd go help him so my car can get fixed as soon as possible. My dad was making breakfast, but I didn't want to wait for him. He wasn't making anything I'd like, anyway. There's never anything to eat in our house. Every time I look in the pantry or fridge, I find absolutely nothing that I want to eat except things that are for my dad for his lunch, and each time I look, there is less stuff to pick from. I decided I'd eat at McDonald's again, this time before 10:30 so I could get my sausage with my pancakes. I needed to get gas first. My mom asked me if I had breakfast yet. I said I hadn't. She said that I should have some before I go, because once I started helping Bro. Jim, I probably wouldn't be able to eat anything for a while. I told her not to worry about me. I started going out the door and my dad asked where I was going. I said I was going to Bro. Jim's house. He asked if I called him. I said that I thought he already knew I was coming over. I called and the phone was busy, meaning he was home, meaning it was okay to go over. A few blocks from the gas station, my car suddenly died and I had to steer it into the nearest place I could, which was Select Market. I tried starting it several times to no avail. I guessed that it was out of gas. I got out and walked past Chevron and walked the same distance to McDonald's and had breakfast. Then I walked back to Chevron and my sister's friend and my acquaintence, Brian, was working there. I told him I was out of gas. He asked if I needed to borrow the gas can. I did. I brought it back to my car and poured it in. I tried starting it and it still wouldn't start. I tried a few more times and then it started. I drove to Chevron and filled it up. I drove to Bro. Jim's only to find that he wasn't there and wouldn't be all day. What a waste. Ugh.
