*takes off black Slipknot over-shirt to reveal wife-beater with silver necklace bearing half of my and Kelli's heart which, when whole, reads "Best Friends"* Ahh, that feels better. It's hot here. Well, today is my first day of my grounding of the PS2 and computer. Yes, I'm 21 and still getting grounded. I got grounded because I was playing a game instead of weed-eating like my mom asked me to. The story goes a little farther back, about 3 days ago. I was fiddling with my game, making some last-minute changes to it, so that Kelli's and my mutual friend could play it. He's been bugging me to get it so that he could play it because I've told him about it. Well, as I was doing that and listening to my awesome playlist of all video game music, Legend of Legaia songs came on and my youngest brother said that he wishes we had that game. It's a PSX game. We first played it when my sister borrowed it from a friend, but she moved. We got a hold of it a long time later when we borrowed it from my sister's other friend. Now, it's been a long time since we played it again. Since then, I've downloaded the image file of Xenogears and used CloneCD to burn it onto a CD. I have a modded PS2, so I'm able to play it even though it's not an original. I found Legend of Legaia on the same day I started looking for it, using the awesome BitTorrent and burned it onto a CD. I have the sequel to it, Legaia 2: Dual Saga, for the PS2, but even though it has better graphics, it can't compare to the storyline and the overall coolness of the first one. Yesterday I drove to church with my car instead of in the family van, and then drove home while my parents were still talking for a while afterward. I was playing when they came home and immediately my mom is telling everyone to pick up the house and how she doesn't want anyone running off and playing. We were to make the house look nice and get lunch made. She came in the den where I was and where my dad had come in and continued correcting the pictures he had left on the screen. My mom said that she didn't want anyone playing anything, like I was supposed to know that before getting on it. I went and cleaned up most of the kitchen until a couple of my siblings came and finished it. I went back to playing. My mom came in a little while later and said that she didn't want anyone playing anything because she wanted work to be done. I said that I already cleaned up the kitchen. She wanted more than that done and wanted me to get off the game right that minute and not even get to a save point first. I hate it when she thinks that just because she doesn't care about losing how far we got in a game that it has no importance in the least and it's no trouble to just do all that all over again. Well, she left and I forgot about it because I was playing my game. She came in later and got on my case for not weed-eating and turning off my game. That's understandable. But I forgot again because I was trying to find a save point and ended up playing longer. She came in again and we talked about it longer and she said I had to go do it right now and I couldn't be on the computer or PS2 until Thursday, which was 4 days from when she said it. Luckily, I was a just 2 screens from a save point and I went and saved it really quickly without her knowing. I went out and weed-eated a whole lot and then we all went to China Sun for dinner and then went to the $1.50 theater to watch "Hidalgo" for my sister's birthday.

Today I went and finished the weed-eating that I wasn't able to finish yesterday, since the cords had been worn down too short and needed to be replaced. After that, I hopped on the rider mower and mowed a good size area. I had tried calling Kelli, even though she said she didn't want me to call her while she was taking her "vacation", because she mentioned how it might be over soon and she'd be getting online, and since I wasn't allowed to get on the computer until Thursday, I didn't want her getting on in the mood to talk to me and then find that I wasn't on for a while. I told her and she said she hasn't been online, anyway. I said that it was just in case she does get online, she won't wonder. Her little brother wanted to talk to me, so she gave the phone to him. He told me about some website that he wanted me to go to which has an online RPG. I told him I don't like online RPGs and he said that it's not complicated. I said I like games that are complicated, and that I was making my own complicated game and having a lot of fun with that. He said something I couldn't make out and I asked what he said. He didn't answer and I just heard background noise with Kelli laughing at the show she was watching. I said a few things but got no answer. I waited in case he just put the phone down for a minute and was going to pick it up again. Finally, Kelli asked if I was there and I said that I thought I was talking to her brother. I asked what he had said and she didn't know. I asked what he was doing and she said he was watching the show, too. I asked if she could ask what he said and she wouldn't, so I said for her to enjoy her show and then I left. Eh, not the best conversation, but then again, all I called for was to tell her that I wouldn't be on for a while.

I put on the clothes that I described at the beginning of this entry to turn in 2 applications and cover letter/resumes I had finished over the weekend. I went to Office Max and had my cover letter printed. Steve was there and he knows my dad since my dad comes in there a lot. He's cool. I went to Legacy Coach and they were closed due to Memorial Day. I went to Monaco Coach and Marathon Coach to check on my applications to find that they were closed today, too. I ate pizza at Sbarro's in the mall, then drove to Jim's Electronics to turn in my application there and they were closed. I went home and my dad said I could get online if I do what I'm supposed to each day, so here I am. Yay.
